At O’Connor Design, we specialize in creating fast, strong, lightweight, and affordable frames that flawlessly balance function and form. Driven by the scientific method and backed by 25 years of industry experience, we tailor each frame project to meet our customers’ specific product requirements.
We believe Industrial Design is crucial to bike design. Whether you need full design support or just a touch of guidance, we bring over 15 years of experience, both inside and outside the bike industry, to fuse aesthetics with peak performance.

about d'arcy o'connor
A graduate of University of Waterloo, Structural Engineering and Welding specialist, D’Arcy has in the past worked as a Applications Engineer and Software instructor, teaching PTC Creo products to Engineers in Canada and Ireland while studying in University. He has gained working experience in several different industries prior to working in the bike industry – work experience that he draws from on a daily basis. In 2003 as a young graduate, he worked for Balfa Cycles, in Montreal, Canada, where he worked with the team to implement Pro/E software and update the 2004 lineup. The following year he began his career at Rocky Mountain Bicycles as Project Engineer, a job he held for 17 years. Now located in Victoria, B.C., D’Arcy develops frames and components for the Mountain Bike, E-Bike, E-Mobility and Olympic BMX industries.
